We require a Quantity Surveyor to join our Bristol based client to work from their office on multiple commercial projects within the South, South West and Wales Region for their T1 contractor customers with values ranging from £50k up to £2million. This role is predominantly office based however site visits will be required on a regular basis for all of the allocated project, usually working within a 2hr radius of their office in Bristol.

This role would suit someone who has previously worked for a leading main contractor overseeing several packages looking to specialise in drylining, or, someone who has held a similar role for a minimum of two years. Our client is a dynamic, forward-facing team looking for someone to join them at an exciting time in the company’s journey.

Daily Tasks Include:

• Prepare project specific tender and contract documents.
• Monitor and control costs across several projects.
• Identify commercial risk and the likeliness of cost variation.
• Track any changes to the design or actual work and adjust budget projections.
• Value completed works and invoice to contractors, including extras and day works.
• Attending site to ensure monthly measures and valuations are correct.
• Liaise with and maintain excellent relationships with our customers and workforce.

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in commercial projects (i.e. education, leisure, MOD, office, etc.)
• Minimum two years’ experience in a quantity surveyor role.
• Must be thorough and pay attention to detail.
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Ability to use your initiative.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Full UK driving licence.
• CSCS card.
